YouTube Community Section Guide
We use Community tab to engage with subscribers, inspire new content, and promote our videos. Use this tab like you would your Facebook page wall: post status updates, ask questions, encourage visitors to ask questions, poll your fans, and much more.
Why do we use Community Section?
Communicating with our viewers is essential to build loyalty and show real people who stay behind their beloved brand. This is the easiest way to increase their trust and create a true community that will watch, support and share our videos.
Via Community Section we can also:
Encourage our audience to interact with our content
Inform them about our new videos
Present old successful videos to the new audience
Tell the viewers about our CSR and PR activities
What can we publish in Community Section?
Video announcements on the channel
This type of post should include:
A 1000x1000 picture with a catchy title
Link to the video on the channel with a Call-to-action (ex.: Click to watch now, Don’t miss our latest story, You will be shocked to know what happened - watch to find out, etc)
A short and catchy description that will intrigue the audience and make them interested in the story
Good example:
(But better to add a picture with a catchy title)
(Better to add a strong Call-to-action)
Behind the scenes content
This type of post will tell our audience that we are real humans and can also serve as a teaser about an upcoming video. It should include:
A photo or a video from shooting (can be a picture taken on your phone)
An engaging question to provoke a discussion in comments (Ex.: Can you guess the location? Who will be our next guest? It’s hard to recognise our producer - who is that?)
Please, submit all behind the scenes content to PR and SMM teams for them to promote the video team on social platforms.

Team/company updates
It’s so exciting when the audience rewards us for our work. So let’s give them more reasons! Whenever we have a team member’s b-day, a new award or open a new charity initiative - let’s inform our viewers.
Good examples:
Reminder about old successful videos
Our audience is growing day to day. So some of them might be not familiar with our old interesting stories. You can publish them when a nice reason arises.
Good example:
Polls to engage the audience
Polls might be just to entertain, to ask for feedback or to get the ideas for the new content. You can ask what video viewers prefer, or what guest they are expecting. Or you can just ask about something that is happening in the country.
Good examples:
Host Q&A sessions with team members
Engage with channel subscribers by hosting a Q&A on your Community Section. If you plan to answer questions for a set length of time, promote the Q&A in advance in your Community Section to maximize participation. You can also leave the Q&A open by answering as many questions as you receive.
Tip: to make sure that everything goes successfully, ask your friends/colleagues to join Q&A and ask some positive questions
