Leave Tracking
General rules for days off inside Esc Media.
Platforms do not sleep, they don’t have weekends. Since our business depends on the high performance of our content, it is important to organise your team in such a way that is efficient, while each member has a proper chance to rest.
General info
Each member of our team has:
20 working days off a year.
Unlimited amount of sick leaves.
We use the comulative system for calculating days off: each consecutive month adds 1.7 days to the employee’s vacation.
If the person is registered within Zoho people, their schedule is calculated automatically.
For our remote employees, we use the Leave Tracker.
General rules
1. An employee should inform the Team Lead beforehand of their planned leave.
For situational days off that are 1-2 days long, the absence warning time is a minimum of 1 day prior to the leave.
For longer vacations that are more than 5 working days, the absence warning time a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the leave.
2. We have small teams that work at a fast pace, it is how we can ensure the quick profitability of our startup projects.
It is therefore advised to give your employees vacation of no longer than one consecutive week. It is better that your team members take a few weeks off, scattered throughout the year, rather than one long vacation.
Of course, it’s possible to have a vacation for a longer period of time. In this case, the employee must warn the Team Lead well in advance, and they should make sure that the long absence will not have a negative impact on production speed.
3. Unused vacation days do not burn and they will be counted in the employee’s leave package.
